Getting Involved at BGSU

APHIOMany incoming students will be looking for things to get involved with once they make it to campus this coming August. There are many things to get into. One of those things is Fraternity and Sorority Life. Fraternity and Sorority Life is what you make of it and everyone can have lots of different experiences. I joined a fraternity called Alpha Phi Omega. We are a co-ed fraternity that comes with all the same aspects of brotherhood you associate with all male fraternities.

When I joined, I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone wants to be your brother. Most fraternities and sororities have dues as high as $500 or more, but Alpha Phi Omega is only $75 the semester that you join. Once you become an active brother, it is only $50 each semester. This is obviously more affordable as a college student. We do plenty of service to the campus and community. We also have lots of fellowships events which are ways to get to know other brothers. Fellowship events can be going to sporting events, food outings, or other events off campus.

Being apart of Alpha Phi Omega will change you for the better. I have met some good people through this fraternity. You don’t even have to dress up for weekly chapter meetings! Alpha Phi Omega has changed my life, and it can change yours too! It’s a very diverse community and everyone is accepted, so there’s no competition on whether you will get in or not! When you come to campus this fall, just make sure to check out Alpha Phi Omega! Check out this website too: http://www.aphiozk.com/.
