Getting ready to graduate is overwhelming, nerve-racking and exciting

With the official countdown until graduation written on each page of my planner, it’s safe to say that I may have come down with a severe case of senioritis, as I’m sure many of my colleagues could also attest to.

However, with those numbers dwindling, it is becoming all too real that my time here is quickly coming to an end.

Friends Becoming Family by Brittany

When I moved to college, there were many things I was worried about. I was altogether very nervous to be uprooting my life and starting over. I knew that the near future was very uncertain and it could end up being great, or not so great. I had heard so many horror stories about roommates and even had some friends that had dropped out their first years of college. I didn’t want to be a part of either of those possible situations.

Campus Involvement by Brittany

In high school I was class president, and basically involved in anything I could possibly be involved in. When I graduated I was more than happy to be done with all of my previous obligations. I was ready to move on! So when I started attending college, I didn’t rush to join any clubs. Looking back, I think I made the right decision to just hang out and get used to college life. I needed time to relax, adjust and hang out with my new friends. Sophomore year, I was adjusted and happy but missed being involved in different organizations like I had been in high school.

The “Key” to College Life by Brittany

After a long, demanding week of classes, meetings and homework, realizing that it is Friday is one of the best feelings in the world. After my last class on Fridays, I am ready to relax- at least for a few hours. Usually I celebrate the fact that it’s Friday by getting together with many of my friends and going to the bars. It’s something I look forward to all week long.
