NATURE Participation from Sivagroup

The Sivagroup participates in NATURE program in which we have developed lesson plans for NATURE students. The lesson plans are developed during summer camp in which demonstration are done before Tribal college Teachers to get their feedback for implementation of the session. The developed lesson plans are below. Students from the group visit Tribal Colleges to perform sunday academy lesson during Fall and Spring Semesters.

  • Objective:

    As light plays an important role in our day-to-day life we will explore. a) how light can be produced by combining two reagents. b) how light can cause a chemical reactions for degradation. c) how light can be used to transform one chemical form to other


    1) Transfer of one chemical form to another using light: Photochromic glasses.

    2) Degradation with Light: Photodegradation of polymers (Group's SMS project).

    3) More fun with light: a) Shapes with Vaseline under black light, b) Detecting fake bills, c) Tonic Water
