Gustavo Verdesio is one of the premiere Romance Language and American Culture professors at the University of Michigan. Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, he brings a wealth of information from the Cono Sur (Southern Cone of South America). He received his Ph.D from Northwestern University in 1992. One of Verdesio’s achievements has been the ‘chili pepper’ on Rate My Professors. He has encouraged his students to add this on his rating page for semesters and was able to finally achieve success in fall of 2007.
