Bangladesh University of Professionals (”’BUP”’) is the 30t’ Public University of Bangladesh. The Ist syndicate meeting of the university was held on 14 August 2008 at Mirpur Cantonment. Vice Chancellor BUP, Major General Abdul Waded, ndu, psc presided over the meeting. Senior representatives of Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Education, Defence, Law, Justice & Parliamentary affairs, University Grants Commission, Army, Navy and Air Headquarters and Affiliated C011egeS/illStitLites/Academies were present as Syndicate member in the meeting. Initial budget of 2008-09, initial post creation for teachers, officers and employees, formation of academic council; academic plan, organogram, formation of finance committee etc were discussed iii the meeting and appropriate decisions were taken. It may be mentioned that 9 different higher learning Colleges/Iiistitutioiis/Aca.delilies of Armed Forces are affiliated with this university.
