”’Jean de Beck”’ (born 1588; died 22 August 1648) was the Governor and Captain-General of the [[Duchy of Luxembourg]] and of the County of [[Chiny]].
A bastion in [[Luxembourg (city)|Luxembourg]] is named after him. He also built a castle in [[Beaufort, Luxembourg|Beaufort]].
During his military career, he served under [[Albrecht_von_Wallenstein|Wallenstein]] and was commander of the garrison at [[Prague]].
Wounded during the [[Battle of Lens]] on the 20 August, 1648, he died from his injuries a few days later.
