Pirromount: introduced article
Mark Pirro is a filmmaker who throughout the 80’s, 90’s and 2000s created feature film comedies for very little money. His first feature, A Polish Vampire in Burbank, was produced in 1983 on a complete budget of $2500. The film went on to make a half million dollars on the home video market and on cable television. Pirro followed up that film with his low budget feature Deathrow Gameshow. Since then, he has produced and directed several features on budgets as low as $500.
In 2007, he started production on his biblical comedy, ‘The God Complex.’ For this film, he created a talking Jesus head toy called ‘The Submissive Jesus Prayer Answering Talking Head.’
