The ”’canopy”’ of a [[grapevine]] includes the parts of the vine visible above ground-the [[trunk]], [[stem]]s, [[leave]]s, and [[grape|fruit]]. [[Canopy management|Management]] of the canopy is an important [[viticultural]] task due to its affect on grape [[yield (wine)|yield]]s, [[vigour]] and the prevention of various [[grape disease]]s and fungus.
