Audience Awareness Activity

Response to parents…

It really wasn’t even what you would call a party.  It was just a get together to eat some pizza, watch some T.V. and just hang out.  We didn’t do anything wrong and obviously the house is fine.  It’s not burnt down and nothing is broken.  The only reason the police was called was because we were playing some music and the neighbors are really old.  They don’t understand what fun is and it was only eleven at night when they called the police.  It’s not a big deal at all.

Response to the police…

Officer I am very sorry for the disruption I have caused.  I know the noise level got a little out of hand and I promise it won’t happen again.  We were just listening to some music and didn’t realize how loud it really was.  I was just trying to hang out with some friends and have a good time before I go off to college in the Fall.  I’ll make sure that I keep the noise level down next time to avoid disrupting the peace.

Response to friend…

Dude I can’t believe you missed my party! It had to be the party of the year.  There was so many people here bro and one of my friends ended up bringing a keg.  It was so tight.  We were blasting music all night and everyone was dancing.  Not to mention all the hot girls that showed up.  Dude the cops even got called! It was so crazy!  I just got off with a warning because of the noise so nothing serious went wrong.  That was probably the craziest night ever bro. I wish you would’ve came.

Excellent way of handling yourself for your various audiences! I appreciate how sure of yourself and your argument you were toward the audiences of authority. Effectively crafted.
