The College of Arts and Sciences’ “Dean’s Lecture Series” will highlight BGSU History Ph.D. graduate Luke Nichter and his research journey through grad school in listening to the Nixon tapes. Titled “A Journey with Richard Nixon: A Decade of Listening to the Nixon Tapes from Ohio to Texas,” the event will in the Student Union, Room 206 on Tuesday, September 30 at 2:30 pm with a book-signing afterwards.

Nichter earned his Ph.D. in 2008, with a committee including Dr. Douglas Forsyth and Professor Emeritus Gary Hess. Currently he is an Associate Professor of History at Texas A&M University. He has two recent books on the Nixon Tapes: The Nixon Tapes (co-authored with Douglas Brinkley) and his dissertation, Richard Nixon and Richard Nixon and Europe: The Reshaping of the Postwar Atlantic World.
