The Department’s new addition, Dr. Savitri Kunze, just finished her first semester teaching at BGSU.
The Department is delighted to welcome Savitri Kunze to the Falcon family as our new Assistant Professor of History. Dr. Kunze is a historian of nineteenth and twentieth century human rights and international sovereignty. Her dissertation focused on borders and migration: “The Undeportables: Diplomatic Nonrecognition and the Periphery of Rights in the United States.” You can read more about her work on her website here.
She joins us from the University of Chicago and currently teaches courses on US History, World History, and Public History. She also brings expertise in the growing field of Digital History, which has many exciting future applications for our thriving Public History Certificate program. Welcome Savi!
