Joe Faykosh presented a Phi Alpha Theta Professionalism Forum titled “So, You Want to Get a Ph.D.?” on Thursday, November 20 to first and second year Masters students interested in the doctoral process. Faykosh discussed his own experience as a doctoral student and then provided information on identifying programs, crafting application materials, dos and don’ts of doctoral programs, and other helpful advice, especially the real financial, social, and professional realities of being a doctoral student.
