Last week, Nikon announced the new Coolpix P300. A brand new compact digital camera, boasting a Nikon first: a super-wide angle lens (24mm-100mm) and a max aperture of f/1.8. Allowing the photographer to produce razor sharp images and to help overcome changing lighting conditions.

The Coolpix P300 will also shoot 1080p Full HD with auto focus, stereo sound and optical zoom

“The P300 is an excellent choice for the photographer who is looking for a compact camera with all the manual controls and advanced features that challenges them to take their creativity to new heights,” said Bo Kajiwara, director of marketing, Nikon Inc. in a press release.

The Coolpix P300 will become available March 2011 and will retail for about $329.95 MSRP.
