FADE IN

INT. LOFT APARTMENT – NIGHT

Various articles and columns are framed on the wall, boasting the their poor marks and low scores, and small pictures of Glen are wrapped in the text.

CLOSE UP PAN OF BOOKS ON SHELF:

GLEN’S hand enters the frame and slides one of the books out.

MATCH CUT TO:

Glen tucks the book under his arm and prepares a pen and his reading glasses. He sit down on his stylish modern chair. TRUCK toward glen as he opens the book and his eyes begin to san the pages. Trumpet begins playing from upstairs. STOP TRUCK. MEDIUM SHOT. Glen drops the book from eye level and looks up, wrinkling his nose. He shoves his nose back into the book trying to focus harder on reading. Trumpet becomes louder. Glen drops the book, grinds his teeth and plugs his ears with fingers.

MATCH CUT TO:

WIDE SHOT. Glen gets up from the chair and walks off frame. He returns with a broom and begins to tap the celing. He taps it twice, then a little faster. The music continues. Glen begins pounding the celing with the broom. He is exhusted and drops the broom. Glen walks off frame again. His footsteps grow queiter as he asends the stairs. The trumpet stops. Glens footsteps grow louder as he makes his way back to his room. He drops the trumpet on the floor and jumps on it, crushing the trumpet. He is breathing heavily.

CUT TO:

MEDIUM SHOT. Glen return to his chair and continues to read his book. Tuba sounds can now be heard from upstairs. Glens face is slowly revealed from behind the book, his eye twitching.
