Children’s Mental Health

Throughout this commercial the creators usage of filming is very distinct. They tend to use a lot of mise-en-scène, which is the “placing of scenes” to help tell the story, or visual theme. We obviously know this commercial is about children’s mental health, but there is much more to support it throughout the clip. In the commercial it shows kids in many different atmospheres, which could show the viewer that mental health is everywhere, and it shows the kids in a big scene with their body in the corners. This could be to show the lack of future they think they hold, as well as the misery they are in. They are wanting to break out of this open space through their shadows in the background expressing how they feel. This commercial did not really have a turning point and left you feeling very dull. Everything was to create an emotion in you that would make you want to feel the need to go out and do something.

However, as the film may have been empty, some viewers may have looked at that as a way of dull, uneventful filming, that had no theme.  Viewers could potentially be bored because there is little to nothing going on.  This can be argued because there is a lot of events going on, they are little details, but loud when really looking at the scenes.
