Gas Prices on the Rise

An article posted on Feb. 7 by CNN explained that gas prices are slowly rising, following crude oil prices.  According to Trilby Lundberg, publisher of the Lundberg Survey, this is because demand is “still weak and a glut of refined fuel on the market, the prices at the pump are closely tracking the price of the crude oil that is gasoline’s major component.”  The national average is now $3.13 per gallon for self-serve regular.  San Francisco currently holds the national high at $3.41  per gallon with Memphis, Tenn. being the lowest at $2.90.

Gas prices are always newsworthy. But, it would have been good if your post had more context to explain why this would matter to your readers on a travel blog. You might have looked for a second news source to add some context.

    Great photo!
