A recent article by the New York Times, informed readers of some phenomenal travel and attraction deals in Europe. “Europe’s Economic Trouble Offer Opportunities to Tourists,” published on Jan. 29, listed some of the best travel, hotel, and tourist attraction deals in Ireland, Portugal, and Greece. The article also explained why some of these deals are being offered. The article states, “Some of the best bargains can be found in the hardest-hit countries,” due to rough economic times for Europe.
Because of the year-old troubled times in Europe, cuts have been made in many aspects such as air travel and public transportation. This, along with recession, has slowed tourism rates for much of Europe, which is why travel is offered at lower rates in hopes of bringing in more tourists and boosting the economy.
However, because of the cut-backs in transportation, among other things, travelers should expect some delays. Do not fret though because the article says,
“Travelers who are aware of the possibility of disruptions and have the flexibility to deal with them, will find a wide range of enticing deals.”
I think this article is newsworthy for many reasons. Firstly, it is recent. Secondly, it has the possibility of effecting many people all across the world. It has psychological proximity, as Americans are also feeling the hard economic times. Lastly, I think it is unique, because I had not heard any prior news of Europe’s economic troubles allowing for great money-saving deals for the travelers and tourists.

Hi Rebecca,
Really this is a saving deal for the travelers and the tourists. This blog information is very much important for it relieves the travelers of the hard prices of the travel. there are many places in the world to tour and travel but the costs deprive people of this. this will also increase on the sales as many tourists will flock into these attraction oriented countries or parts. Nice information.Tanzania Vacations
