Game 1: Black Widows vs. Danny Boys
The 2008 Summer Slo-Puck League started out with a close game between Danny Boys and the Black Widows. Scoring started out with Andrew Hess netting his first goal of the season 10 minutes and 10 seconds into the game. Back and forth scoring between the teams left it 5-4 with 20 seconds remaining in the third period when Aaron Kinney of the Black Widows tied it 5-5. The season opener ended in a 5-5 tie.

Game 2: Team Brett vs. T-Rhyme
The second game of the night started out quick with six goals in the first period. The game was fast-paced with some aggressive play from both sides. At one point, T-Rhyme managed to string together five unanswered goals. At the end of the game, the score was 9-5 in favor of T-Rhyme. It was a great game to watch with each team having a player score a hat-trick; Spencer Lee tallied four goals!
