5 Viable Topics for Literacy Narrative
1.) Sports Literacy – How i’ve become literate in the sporting world over time. I think this would be a good story to tell because although sports were introduced to me when I was very young, since then my understanding of sports has blossomed into a lot more than the basic concept of the game(s).
2.) Computer Literacy – How my literacies in computers and technology play a big role in my dailty life, more specifically the ways in which I communicate I honestly think this type of literacy will be the easiest to narrate because a good portion of my daily communication as well as my daily “leisure” activities are done via computer and/or technology.
3.) Driving Literacy – How being literate and having literacies help me perform better on the road. I think this could be a good “over time” story to present. From riding with with moms, starting driver’s ed., getting my temporary license, getting my actual license, my first speeding ticket, to my first accident. I believe there is plenty to tell here about how my literacies have played a big role in my driving.
4.) Music Literacy – How music literacy plays an important role in my life. I also believe this could be a good story. I actually was thinking to tell a story of going to one of my favorite author’s concert. and how my literacies played a huge tole in planning for the concert as well as enjoying it!
5.) Visual Literacy – How being visually literate allows me to interpret much of the things we encounter in life on a daily basis. I think I could find a good story to tell about an event.
6.) Vocal Literacy – For this literacy I was thinking more on the lines of explaining how my speaking abilities have increased over time.
