Expressive Characters/People

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp really brings his characters alive through expression. In Alice and Wonderland, Johnny Depp plays the mad hatter and does an incredible job of, well, making him seem mad. When the mad hatter is angry, Depp really brings that emotion to the surface. When the mad hatter is sad, the audience can really feel his pain. Johnny Depp also does an amazing job with the character Jack Sparrow. Some of the faces and expressions Depp portrays are simply priceless and make the audience laugh. Especially whenever he is running from anything Johnny Depp doesn’t hold anything back and screams and carry’s on like there’s no tomorrow.

Jack Black

Jack Black is an expressive person all around. He’s not afraid of what people think of him. This gives him the freedom to express himself as outrageously as he would like. He’s also hilarious and this is defiantly because of the expressions he uses. He’s not afraid to make a hilarious face and ‘look bad’.

Daffy Duck

Daffy Duck is one of my favorite Looney Toons characters because he does wear his emotions on his sleeve so to speak. Whenever he’s angry or upset the audience definitely knows. I believe he is animated very well and uses his full rang of motion. I like that not only does the expression on his face tell the audience how he is feeling in the moment, but his hand gestures and posture also help relay the expression and emotion.
