Prof. Pelletier in Virginia

Dr. Andrew Pelletier, Associate Professor of Horn, will be at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, September 8-10, 2013 to present a recital as part of the prestigious Diehn Recital Series and a masterclass with brass students. ┬áThe recital, entitled “New Sounds for Horn”, features music of Paul Hindemith, Harold East, Charles Gounod, BGSU alumnus A.J. Stegall and current BGSU DMA candidate C.R. Kasprzyk.

CMA Faculty and Students Participate in STEM in the Park

CMA Professor Elainie Lillios and six BGSU graduate composers representing BGSUElectroacoustics will host a hands (and ears)-on display at ┬áSTEM in the Park, a young persons fair featuring interactive displays and activities involving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM.) Their booth’s title, “What’s that CRAZY Sound? Making Music with Technology” features a recording and sound processing station, a video tracking system that translates the human image into music, and two iPads loaded with fun sound apps.
