The primary focus of our research is to study bacteria and phage that inhibit multi-drug resistant pathogens. Through a population-level approach involving phylogenetics and experimental data, we identify natural isolates that inhibit the growth of devastating pathogens. Our research involves an interdisciplinary strategy that utilizes field work, wet-bench experimentation, whole genome sequence analyses, and bioinformatics to identify novel antibiotic compounds and phage.
We also facilitate antibiotic discovery throughout Tiny Earth.
