Interactive Instructional cd’s and virtual computer worlds (more specifically Second Life) are also very popular forms of CME.  Many of these instructional cd’s are packaged and sold in conjunction with text books.  This has become a pretty common amongst publishers (many of the books are distributed on college campus’), several of the books for technology related majors come with these interactive instructional cd’s.  The instructions on these cd’s can contain a wide variety of objectives, from teaching the student how to use a specific software, to providing modules and study guides for students to complete.  The benefit of these instructional cd’s are the examples they generally provide.  These are great for the students who are more visual learners.
