Game 1 Summary: Black Widows vs. T-Rhyme

At first, this game seemed to be an even matchup between two solid teams. Joe Harris of T-Rhyme opened up the scoring only 2:57 into the first period, but was later matched by Andrew Hess of Black Widows. The first ended 2-1, in favor of T-Rhyme; yet this period would not forecast the rest of the game. T-Rhyme scored quickly, 33 seconds into the second period, making a point that they deserve the top spot in the league. The Black Widows were not disrupted by the quick goal, and managed to tie the game up with two consecutive goals in the second. At one point, the game was tied at three apiece. However, the final tally of 9-4 tells the story of third period full of goals. T-Rhyme scored four times, securing their victory in the third period.

Game 2 Summary: Team Brett vs. Danny Boys

This game featured a battle between the young and skilled Team Brett, and the older and experienced Danny Boys. The two teams were tied in the standings before the game, so a close one was expected, and the two teams delivered. The game began with each team scoring twice in the first, back and fourth. The second period went to Team Brett, scoring four goals and forward Andy Reuhl collecting a hat trick. Instead of bringing the Danny Boys down, this large lead acted more as a spark of motivation, driving Danny Boys on a monumental comeback attempt. Danny Boys pulled four goals together in the third period, all by different players showing their ability to work together, yet the four goals were not enough. Team Brett won the intense battle 8-7.

Three Stars:
1. Kevin Rawlik (F; Danny Boys; 3G 3A)
2. Andy Reuhl (F; Team Brett; 3G 1A)
