Marketing and Communications Intern for NAMI Wood County

We provide education, support and advocacy for people living with a mental illness, the family and friends that support them, and the Wood County community. NAMI Wood County is a leading self help organization offering events, free edu-cational classes, support groups, and other programs addressing mental health for Bowling Green, Ohio and all surrounding Wood County communities.

The Marketing and Communications Intern will help the Manager of Marketing and Communications provide information on mental health and social services in Wood County and surrounding areas, to seek information on appropriate services, facilities and programming and to provide support, education and advocacy for families and individuals affected by mental illness.

NAMI can provide internship opportunities for many majors and interests. We are open to offer duties and learning experiences for individual interests and any unique ideas.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and executing yearly Bonfire fundraiser
  • Develop and keep social media plan and blog up to date
  • Design and submit advertisements and press releases
  • Create and keep up to date all newsletters, information packets and brochures
  • Oversee facility messaging

This opportunity is an unpaid internship.
