Faith Collaborative Interns

Faith Collaborative of Erie County (FCEC) is a start-up non-profit program supported by numerous
long-established church bodies in Sandusky, Ohio, currently seeking interns for assistance in setting up a
web-based information and referral (I&R) service for Erie County.

FCEC seeks a website that features:
1) 211-like Information and Referral (I&R) database

2) Daily “food calendar” that features information on food resource availability (hot meals programs, food
pantries)

3) Self-serve program qualifier (similar to Ohio Benefits Bank – collects household and income information
and recommends program qualifications based on program guidelines)

4) Links to Metro Housing (public housing, section 8) online application and Ohio benefits application
(SNAP/Medicaid, etc)

5) Searchable database for landlords who provide affordable housing

6) Volunteer registry (matching skills to available volunteer positions)

7) Centralized online donation center

8) Set up of donation receipt capabilities

Preferable candidates are:

1) Independent learners

2) Self-driven workers

3) Creative thinkers

4) Willing to test the bounds of the possible and go beyond them

5) Amenable to making social impact

No travel is required.

Supervisor will come to BGSU as needed.

Completely flexible work hours.

Faith Collaborative is open to any ideas students may bring to the table. We are seeking students to
collaborate with to create a dynamic resource for Erie County.

Students may work on singular or numerous
website components, according to time and interest. This is an unpaid internship; all out-of-pocket expenses
will be reimbursed.
