We are looking for a journalism/communications candidate who possesses strong video and audio editing skills, as well as someone who can do John Stossel type investigative reporting pieces. Experience on MacPro and with Apply editing software preferred. The full-time position will work in concert with a journalist who covers the Statehouse as part of our News Bureau. The individual also will be responsible for maintaining a website (ohiowatchdog.org) with video/audio content, blogging, and other accountability and transparency information. The focus of the position will be to investigate and expose government waste, fraud, and abuse across Ohio.
As background, the Buckeye Institute is a center-right 501(c)(3) think tank located in Columbus focused on economic freedom & competitiveness, job creation & entrepreneurship, and government transparency & accountability.
