LGBT Student Journalism Project

Each year, the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) puts together a Student Project to coincide with our annual Journalism Convention – this year held in San Francisco, CA to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. More information on the project can be found with the attached or on the web at www.nlgja.org/.

Students participating in the 2010 Student Project will work with media professionals to report, edit, photograph, design and produce the news of NLGJA’s National Convention and host city while furthering their own interest in ensuring fair and accurate coverage of the LGBT community.

During the course of the program, members of the Student Project class will work with mentors from the journalism industry and interact with top LGBT media professionals from across the United States.

Program eligibility and application details are attached.

Thanks in advance.
