Summary: Three films look at the problem of garbage and waste production. In Garbage! : the revolution starts at home, jolted awake by a garbage strike in Toronto and the mountains of trash accumulating in his neighborhood park, Andrew Nisker sets out to investigate the waste we produce, where it goes, and how it adversely affects the environment and our own bodies. The recyclergy introduces some fascinating San Francisco characters devoted to the art and business of scavenging and recycling. The story of stuff combines the live narration of Annie Leonard with simple line-drawing animation to follow all of our “stuff” from extraction and distribution, to use and disposal.
