Summary: Ex patriot Australian art critic and author Robert Hughes revisits Australia after 35 years absence. This six part series presents Hughes’ perspective on present day Australia and the forces that have shaped it over the past 35 years. He examines issues such as national identity, the legend of the outback vs. suburban reality, social stratification, Aboriginal and European culture contacts, immigration and multiculturalism.

Missing?: While the video box indicates that there are seven episodes with the third one missing from this collection, all data I have read indicate that there were only six episodes, suggesting that the third episode is contained on the cassette, following the chapter order mentioned above.
