Summary: A compilation of documentary films. Industrial Britain examines Britain’s factories and mines during the early 1930s. A colour box is an experimental film in which abstract images dance across the screen to Latin music. Granton trawler is about fishermen engaged in dragnet fishing off the coast of Scotland. The private lives of the gannets is a study of the behaviour patterns and lives of a bird colony of gannets situated on Grassholm Island, Wales. Seawards the great ships examines the Clyde River in Scotland to observe men assembling materials, constructing, and launching a variety of vessels.
