Per Broman to lecture in Sweden

Per F. Broman, Associate Professor of Music Theory and Associate Dean, has been invited to Sweden to give talks for the occasion of the release of his biography on composer Sven-David Sandström (b. 1942). Together with Sandström, he will give a pre-concert talk on October 31 before the Swedish premiere of Sandström’s Six Pieces for Piano Trio and Orchestra by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Trio con Brio Copenhagen, as well as giving lectures on Sandström at Uppsala University and the Royal College of Music. He will also give a lecture at Stockholm University on the use of music in the films by Ingmar Bergman, a topic Broman dealt with in a chapter of the anthology Music, Sound and Filmmakers (Routledge, 2012).
