NW Ohio in the Civil War on the web

Researchers interested in the part northwest Ohio played during the Civil War now have a new resource available at the CAC’s website. Northwest Ohio in the Civil War is more than just an expansion of the newspaper correspondence index. Muster-in and muster-out dates for each unit are provided, as well as a list of the battles in which the unit was engaged. Links to other websites which describe the unit are provided, or to websites which deal with battles or other activity the unit performed. A brief service record for each soldier who wrote a letter to a northwest Ohio newspaper is provided, and often an extended biography as well. As more information comes to light, it will be added to the CAC’s site.
