Huron, Ohio – Choosing a college, an academic major, and a career can be stressful.  There are thousands of options, and the choices can be overwhelming.

On Saturday, Sept. 27 from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., the process of career exploration will be made easier with the BGSU Firelands Career and Campus Visitation Day.

Designed for high school students who will be making career decisions in the next two years, but open to all, this half-day experience will explore everything from nursing to art, criminal justice to computer science, and much more.

The purpose of the event is to engage individuals in active and early career exploration and to encourage them to make strategic decisions about their future.

During the BGSU Firelands Career and Campus Visitation Day, individuals will be able to select areas of professional interest to explore.  Panel presentations will detail the academic coursework required for the profession as well as the careers associated with the degree program.  Opportunities will also be available for open-ended discussions with industry professionals and academic instructors.

The event will begin in the Cedar Point Center at the BGSU Firelands campus in Huron, Ohio, and will also include tours of the College.

The event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited.  Register at www.firelands.bgsu.edu/admissions/visitation.html or for more information contact the BGSU Firelands Office of Admissions at 419.372.0607.
