Huron, Ohio – On February 25, Caryl Crane Children’s Theatre will begin its 25th Anniversary Season by presenting the new musical Children’s Letters to God in the McBride Auditorium at Bowling Green State University Firelands.

This charming musical, made famous on the Oprah Winfrey show, answers questions from young people such as “Dear God…How did you know you were God,” ”Dear God…Did you mean for giraffes to look that way or was it an accident,” or ”Dear God…How come you did all the miracles in the old days and you don’t do any now?”

Taken from the actual letters of young people writing to “The Big G,” these are just some of the hard-hitting questions and tell-it-like-it-is revelations that comprise this kid-friendly show about the innocence of growing up.  The musical crosses the boundaries of age, geography and religion and deals with questions and issues that are related to life and not a specific denomination.

Humorous and serious, wise and naïve, simple and complex, Children’s Letters to God features a cast of 20 area actors ranging from age 10-20.  The story has been adapted for the stage by Stuart Hample, the creator of the New York Times best-selling book of the same title, with music by David Evans and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen.

The box office for Children’s Letters to God opens Mon., February 21 at 1 p.m.  For tickets and more information call 419.372.0747.  Special group rates as well as fundraising packages for area not-for-profit organizations are available by calling 419.372.0642.  More information is available at www.firelands.bgsu.edu/arts/ccct
