Sandusky resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Huron, Ohio – Shannon Ryan Voight of Sandusky has received the Lyle L. Speer Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. He will receive $250 towards tuition for the 2010-2011 academic year.
This award is available to a student from Erie, Huron or Ottawa counties majoring in electrical/electronics engineering technology or world-class manufacturing technology. This is funded by Judge Richard L. Speer in memory of his father.
Voight is a 1990 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He is a senior majoring in electronics and computer technology at BGSU Firelands.
He is married to Teresa Voight of Sandusky and he is the son of Ralph and Shirley Voight.
