Mox and His Toothache
Fade In—
Camera is straight on Mox in daydream scene
Mox is daydreaming about his last month’s win of best smile. The scene is in black and white and he is standing on a podium. Cameras are flashing and he is smiling really big.
<Flash of cameras and audience noise>
Camera pans into him sitting on his couch
He snaps out of it and we find him sitting on his couch munching on some cheese puffs while watching television.
Camera pans in a little more
< Background noise of TV >
As he is eating, he notices a pain that starts to take over his tooth, but he continues to keep eating.
Same camera shot: close up
< Crunch from the sound of the cheese puffs >
The pain begins to become unbearable and he has to make a choice, either pull the tooth to continue eating his cheese puffs or live in pain with the tooth so he can win next years competition.
Camera pans out a little to get the majority of Mox in his environment
He keeps feeling the tooth trying to make a decision. He closes his eyes and finally yanks the tooth, feeling really sad that his dreams are all lost.
Camera is very close to his face to exaggerate the tooth pulling
< Sound of tooth pulling >
He continues with his bag of cheese puffs feeling defeated and looking sad when he notices something on the back. He flips it over and sees that there is an advertisement for a cheese puff eating contest in about a month.
Camera pans out a little
< Crunch sounds from eating the puffs >
Mox smiles with one tooth knowing that he can go after a new goal: win as many cheese puff eating contests as possible.
Camera draws back from close up and the scene ends
