To follow up on my previous post, here is a map of all of the tanning locations in Bowling Green, OH. With a tanning salon on practically every block, no wonder students are becoming more addicted to the ultraviolet rays.

I believe you have your cause and affect in the wrong order. If no wanted to tan their would be no tanninig salons.

I agree that if no one wanted to tan that there wouldn’t be any tanning salons, Rich. However, people are tanning excessively, which is the problem that I’m trying to address.

Well with all the risks these days of skin cancer, most should be getting spray tans, way too risky now for excessive tanning.

How safe is using a tanning salon in the long run?

Tanning is never a good idea. It can cause depigmentation and other skin scarring. Freckles and other dark blotches on the skin can be very difficult to treat.

They are regulating the tanning industry here in Australia to stop the senseless deaths of people. Ban it I say
