Call for Proposals: 21st Century Englishes [INFO]

The 21st Century Englishes Conferences is hosted by the Rhetoric Society of the Black Swamp, BGSU Student Chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America, and BGSU’s Rhetoric & Writing Ph.D. Program. It is sponsored by the English Department. The conference seeks to explore all of the questions and interpretations as they relate to the field of writing studies. It invites individual and panel proposals on this theme from graduate students as well as their collaborators (colleagues, faculty, staff, students, research participants, community members, etc.).

Surviving Graduate School as a Student of Color, Hosted by the Multicultural Initiatives for Graduate Success (MIGSS) program [INFO]

MIGSS is presenting an event called Surviving Graduate School as a Student of Color. This symposium will have panelists from different disciplines (and a current graduate student) who will discuss their experiences as a graduate student of color, as well as their experiences working with students of color.

CURS invites presentation proposals from undergraduate and graduate students of all disciplines who have participated in 2018-2019 in internships or research/scholarly/creative activities while studying abroad, international public policy or service learning projects, research/scholarly/creative projects as international students at BGSU, cultural experiences (e.g., Navajo reservation trip), and research/scholarly/creative projects with global/international perspectives.
