About

I’ve been a business educator for over 32 years in the post-secondary environment responsible for office administration courses and computer software courses. I was one of the first to develop and facilitate online courses beginning in 1998. I believe to be an effective classroom teacher one must possess knowledge of the subject matter, knowledge of the students, and knowledge of teaching strategies and skills. These are my goals.  My curriculum area is dynamic, and I embrace change because it presents a challenge to me.

I retired from teaching at Owens Community College in July 2011, and then I returned October 3, 2011, as Interim Chair of the Information Systems/Office Administration Department. New challenges ahead!

I’ve authored articles and presented on the following topics:  outcomes assessment, professional portfolio, ePortfolio, workplace expectations for the evolving technologies, virtual assistants, service learning, online learning.
