Computers in schools are very important because most jobs these days will use computers as a tool.  This means that people should have basic computer skills before they get out into the real world.  There is also a great deal of information that can obtained by using a computer.  The internet has replace many books such as encyclopedias.  Without computers in schools people will have less of chance to succeed in the game of life.  POLICE MAN:  Sir, computers are important because of the many jobs that require computer skiils these days.  For proffessional jobs people need computer skills to be successful.  People are also more likely to succeed in life with the help of computers.

Do current correctional institutions really rehabilitate prisoners?  Every year tax payers spend millions of dollars in order to keep prisoners in check.  this money is also supposedt to rehablitating the inmates.  Stats are showing that a large number of excons will be rearrested which means that the money was not well spent on them.  Its almost as if tax dollars are being thrown into a bottomless pit.  This really disgusts me because you would think by now that we as a society would start trying new techniques to rehablitate prisoners.  Stats are showing that excons with an education of any sort are more likely to avoid jail.  These stats get favorably better as the education jumps from high school to college level.  The answer maybe to make it mandatory to eduacate our prisoners.

My monster that i drew has two really big horns and a triangle shaped head.  He has really big teeth and a peace symbol ear ring.  My monster also has a unibrow and a small nose.

Everyone uses language in one way or another.  Even when people are not talking they are using their bodies to portray some thing that they may be feeling at that point in time.  Its interesting to look at different cultures and see how their language is compares to ours.  I think it mostly depends on how you were raised and where you come from that dtermines how you use language in your life.

The reading was interesting because you should remember who it is you are talking to.  It is important to be consious of what topic you may be talking about depending on who your audience or reader may be.  When I do my Narrative I intend to reach a wide range of groups such as other students, faculty, and possibly parents.

A narrative should be entertaining while explaining about the experience you may have on a certain topic.  This is basically telling a story in a way that the audience can comprehend.  It should have pictures, sound, and other details to help explain what it is you are trying to portray.  In my experience the best narratives are ones that are entertaining.  It should be noted that even though a narrative is entertaing, it should also have a purpose or a point.

I will be using a baseball theme for my visual narrative.  I plan to use powerpoint and incorporate still photos to show how literacy and baseball relate.  I havent not decided on a theme song, but i am leaning toward “Put me in Coach”.  My hope is that my project will educate the class while being entertaining as well.

There are many things that make a good visual narrative.  It seems that successful narratives have a basic theme and are easy to understand what is being portrayed.  After comming up with a good theme you can then start to devlop key points and details.  This could include music, colors, pictures, and types of font.  All of these items should compliment each other while helping to keep the audiences attention.  In short a good visual narrative should be entertaining while still getting the point across.

Bad visual narratives really have no theme to them.  They jump from one subject to next and really have no flow to them.  Bad narratives have no entertainment value.  They also do educate the audience.
