In unit 1, we learned about what literacies are. We were required to complete two projects that included a visual narrative and a literacy narrative. Through the visual narrative, I was able to display the various literacys that I have encountered throughout my life. I cut pictures out of various magazines and displayed them as literacies that I use or have used throughout my life. In this unit, I also included revisions and relfections to the visual literacy project. By doing the revisions and reflections, I was able to make my visual literacy much better than the original and also get the over all message, which is literacies that I have encountered throughout my life, across to the reader.
By creating a literacy narrative, I was able to pick a specific literacy and explain it, in further detail, how it effected my life up to today’s date. I also was able to do revisions and a reflection on the literacy narrative. With the revisions, I fixed the problems with the paper and then wrote a reflection telling why I fixed the things I fixed and how I felt the paper seemed stronger now.
