ON-CAMPUS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking for opportunities to put your academic research and writing skills into practice? Are you looking for meaningful work experience from the convenient location of BGSU’s campus? Would you like to do it for course credit? Then consider applying to be an intern for BGSU’s own interdisciplinary, public humanities center. You can get valuable experience with event planning, marketing and public relations, graphic design, research and curricular development, and more.

The Institute for the Study of Culture and Society (ICS) seeks to connect academic research to the wider community through public engagement activities. ICS helps faculty to develop, communicate, and disseminate their scholarly and creative work to constituencies across campus and throughout the region. With our public events and outreach efforts, we bring issues of vital national and global importance to Northwest Ohio, and, in turn, bring community knowledge back into the university.

We are looking for motivated, team-oriented problem solvers with excellent communication skills. ICS interns work approximately 10 hours per week in the ICS offices in East Hall. ICS internships are offered in the following tracks:

Project Management
• Learn project management and “traffic” skills to maintain steady workflows in a professional setting
