WEWS News 5 is now accepting application materials for the JoAnne Robinson Memorial Scholarship established in 1999 to honor the memory of Executive Producer JoAnne Robinson. The scholarship is open to African-American college students who aspire to become broadcast journalists.
The winner of the 2017 JoAnne Robinson Memorial Scholarship was a Hampton University student majoring in communications and journalism.
We are looking forward to receiving application materials from students for the 2018 scholarship award. Please note that there is no application form for this scholarship, all items required for consideration are listed in the attached brochure.
Deadline to submit information for consideration is February 28, 2018.
