Columbus Dispatch Reporting Internships

The Columbus Dispatch will interview for six reporting internships on the city desk for the summer of 2015. The 12-week internship is a full-time job and pays $450 per week. Interns will be required to perform all duties of a general-assignment reporter, including working with editors to develop story ideas, reporting on topics ranging from environmental issues to criminal court cases, writing detailed and accurate stories to designated lengths, and following through on the editing/rewrite process.  Candidates are typically juniors but seniors and graduate students willing to make a 12-week commitment also may apply. Students should have reporting experience through a previous internship with a daily or weekly newspaper, or substantial reporting work with a student publication. We are looking for self-starters with talent, enthusiasm, and motivation to learn and succeed. For more information, contact Nancy Brendlinger at nbrendl@bgsu.edu or come by her office at 319 West Hall.
