Society for News Design Multimedia Rock Show

The Society for News Design comes to the home of Rock ‘n’ Roll on Saturday, Nov. 13, for a Multimedia Rock Show starring award-winning New York Times producer Zach Wise, The Plain Dealer¹s Andrea Levy and Dale Omori and social media guru Jason Therrien of Thunder::tech, an integrated marketing and advertising agency in Cleveland.

The one-day Quick course, hosted by SND and The Plain Dealer, will be held at The Plain Dealer Community Room and is free for members who pre-register, thanks to a grant from the Gannett Foundation, and $75 for
non-members. Lunch will be provided.

The event will focus on the art of multimedia storytelling, with an emphasis on how stories are planned, edited and produced. Speakers also will share their thoughts on how resources you already have can be used to create effective online stories and how social media powerhouses such as Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare can get more people to seek out your work.

A free SND Foundation meet-up will follow the Quick Course on Saturday night. Everyone is invited to attend.
