Shutter Speed

Shutter speed is, basically, how long the shutter of the camera takes to open and close. When the shutter speed is faster, it takes clearer pictures. When the shutter speed is slower, it captures more of the motion that was happening when the picture was taken. Shutter speed can also help the exposure to light. If it is bright where the picture is taken, you could choose to use a faster shutter speed to make sure not as much light is taken in and vice versa.

Hello world!

My name is Olivia Hupalowsky. I am from a city called North Royalton in the Cleveland area of Ohio. In high school, my life revolved around playing my flute in the marching band and concert band, but I gave that up when coming to college. I am a film production major and planning on minoring in telecommunications. In seventh grade, I realized how interesting movie making is and began taking an interest in the behind-the-scenes of movies and how the film came together as a whole. In this class, I’m hoping to learn more about what goes into film production and the tools and techniques that will be used. I am unsure of what I want to do within the film making process, but I hope to figure it out soon. I am also very interested in music videos, so that is another possibility for my future.
