Kaavya’s novel withdrawn from outlets (NDTV)
After nearly a week of controversy, Kaavya Viswanathan’s publishers have finally recalled her debut novel How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got a Life from bookstores all across the United States.
Her Publisher, Michael Peitsch for Little Brown and Company said in a statement in New York on Thursday that a notice has been sent to “retail and wholesale accounts asking them to stop selling copies of the book and to return unsold inventory to the publisher for full credit.”
[According to the article, Megan McCafferty (author who Kaavya plagiarized), is not seeking restitution. BK]
