[Awesome! I remember the original Knight Rider was my favorite show as a kid and I watched both movies, Knight Rider 2000 (based on the series) and Knight Rider 2010 (loosely based on the series), so I will definitely check this one out. BK]

I don’t know bob, I’m skeptical. There are some things that bother me about the series. First the car is all wrong (as a motor head this is important to me) and the fact that it uses Mike instead of Michael just makes it feel less genuine. I guess there’s also something about originality which can be valued, and I’m not seeing any here.
I noticed our main character is named Mike, but he is supposed to be the son of Michael Knight, David Hasselhoff’s character from the original series. I am perfectly fine with that since one must be distinguished from the other.
I am not so thrilled with KITT being turned into a Ford Mustang, but that might work with Will Arnett as the voice instead of William Daniels (which I have huge issues about). However, KITT became a Dodge Viper in Knight Rider 2000, so maybe the Mustang is temporary.
