Huron, Ohio – On Tuesday, July 24, BGSU Firelands will offer an intensive, one-day workshop titled “Start Your Business Boot Camp” which will provide a wide variety of information and tools to prepare aspiring entrepreneurs for starting and running a business. Topics covered include: starting a business, identifying funding sources, maintaining the financial books, marketing the business, using social media, planning for technology needs, developing a winning strategy, and more.
“This is a great opportunity for people to learn what it will take to turn their idea into a successful business,” said BGSU Firelands Assistant Director of Educational Outreach Kelly Cusack. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the skills, traits, and commitment needed to run a small business.
The program is being offered in conjunction with BGSU’s Center of Excellence: Developing Effective Businesses and Organizations, and RISE – the Regional Incubator for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship.
Held in the BGSU Firelands Cedar Point Center at One University Drive in Huron, the program starts at 9 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. The cost is just $49 per person and includes lunch and a resource guide. For more information, contact Kelly Cusack at kcusack@bgsu.edu.
